In-Kind Gifts
|
In-kind gifts are donations of goods or services, and though these gifts are well-intentioned, they pose a number of distribution complications for our chapter. It’s difficult logistically for us to distribute small amounts of canned goods, clothing, cleaning supplies, furniture and toys equally among victims. To avoid any acts of discrimination, the Greater Chicago Red Cross is unable to accept most in-kind donations.
Bulk donations are appreciated and accepted, as they ensure an immediate and impartial distribution to disaster victims. A bulk donation refers to a large quantity of new, shrink-wrapped and palletized items. For any additional questions or more information please contact us at 312.729.6120 or via e-mail chicagoFD@usa.recross.org.
Please consider giving to the Red Cross through a financial donation, which enables us to meet people’s needs. Learn more about how your monetary donations could translate into food, clothing, shelter and more for disaster victims.
