As of 11 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, this drive has raised more than $2.9 million to help the people of Haiti. A final tally will be available soon, but is delayed due to high call volume. Many heartfelt thanks to the Chicago Broadcast Community, Hewitt Associates and everyone who gave their time and money during this effort.

About Chicago Helps Haiti
The Chicago broadcasting community joined the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago and Hewitt Associates in a united effort to help those facing the devastating aftermath of the Haitian earthquake. The CHICAGO HELPS HAITI relief drive was held on Thursday, January 21st from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Television and radio stations throughout the Chicago area aired a blitz of public service announcements encouraging people to call beginning at 5:00 a.m. on January 21st to contribute to the American Red Cross Haitian relief effort.
