CHICAGO, Ill. -- The American Red Cross of Greater Chicago responded to the scene of an apartment fire early this morning at 6916 S. Clyde Avenue, providing food, shelter, clothing and comfort to nine families displaced in the incident. A total of 22 individuals, including six children and three infants were assisted by the Red Cross.

CHICAGO –February 14, 2010-The American Red Cross of Greater Chicago has spent the day helping families affected by this morning’s fatal fire at 3034 48TH CT in Cicero. The Red Cross helped 15 adults and 12 children with immediate assistance for needs like food, clothing, warm winter coats, shoes, replacement medications and shelter. Our mental health volunteers are still on the scene tonight helping families cope with this devastating disaster.
